Richard Bennett, Consultations
Richard (Rik) Bennett was a primary school teacher for 15 years. He has been a primary headteacher, an advisory teacher for ICT, a registered OFSTED inspector and is presently a senior lecturer for the Faculty of Education & Children's Services at the University of Chester. He has recently retired from full time work and is now employed on a part time basis, teaching on courses for pre-service and practising teachers and supporting the development of the Faculty’s partnership. He has a particular interest in mentoring and coaching and has been involved in various projects, including the co-ordination of training for MTL coaches across the NW region.
His approach to ICT is and always has been firmly rooted in primary classroom practice - seeing ICT as the slave and not the master of learning and teaching.
