ITTE AGM

AGM

The ITTE AGM will take place at 15:00 on Wednesday 7th July at

Conference Centre
Liverpool Hope University
Taggart Avenue
Liverpool
Merseyside
L16 9JD

Nominations are invited for members of the committee to fill the three places that will fall vacant at the AGM.  The committee consists of nine elected members, plus ex-officio members (Chair, treasurer and secretary) and up to five co-opted members.  Elected members serve a three-year period of tenure and, to ensure continuity, periods of tenure are staggered so that three committee members retire each year.  The retiring members this year are Richard Bennett  (Chester), Alison Hramiak (Sheffield Hallam) and Steve Kennewell (Swansea Met) (The committee co-opted Steve in March to fill the vacancy left by Ken Powell becoming Chair).  If there are more than three nominations an election will be held at the AGM.

Being a member of the committee enables you to gain wider experience across the ITT sector and to use your skills and expertise for the benefit of the ITTE community.  There are normally three committee meetings a year.  If you would like to know more about what is entailed, please contact one of the existing committee members.  You can find out who they are at http://www.itte.org.uk/node/2.

Nomination procedure:

  • Candidates for election must be an ITTE member and must be nominated by at least two ITTE members.
  • Candidates may provide ITTE members with a written election address not exceeding 500 words.
  • Institutions are only allowed one elected representative on the committee.
  • Nominations and the election address must be sent to the secretary (me) to arrive not later than 12 hours before the AGM.
  • Election addresses will be displayed at the location of the AGM at least four hours beforehand.
  • In the event of there being more candidates than vacancies, a ballot will take place at the AGM.

Each institution defined in 3.1a (institutional membership) of the constitution and each member defined in 3.1c (individual members who are not in an institutional member) will have one vote for each vacancy.

The AGM agenda and any background papers will be distributed soon.
