ITTE Mentoring and Coaching SIG - Newsletter 1

Hello folks

This Newsletter is to formalise the information which I've previously emailed to you. The ITTE website now includes this Newsletter function which I am trialling to find out how and if it works. So apologies for bombarding you with yet more information but hopefully this newsletter facility will greatly ease the burden of disseminating information to you all.

SIG Area on ITTE website

If you have not already done so, can you register on the new ITTE website (www.itte.org.uk) and access the Mentoring and Coaching SIG area. I've posted an account of our first meeting at the conference there and would like your views on its accuracy. As I did not make any notes in the meeting, this account is going to be very selective and partial (in both senses). Please let me know if I've missed, misrepresented or generally misgotten any views expressed.

Discussion forum

Therer is also a discussion forum for the SIG in which I am canvassing your views as to what should (or should not) be included in the ITTE online resource to support mentoring and coaching (assuming that the funding is released by the TDA). Please feel free to brainstorm any ideas you might have. I can't promise to include or implement them all but I would appreciate any suggestions you have. The resource will ultimately be made available for all providers and not just for ITTE members. However, as the funding is part of the eCommunities development pot, it makes sense for ITTE to make the bid on behalf of all providers. As soon as I have any information on the funding I will let you know.
